Working together in our community: Promoting Supportive Conversation to Prevent Suicide

Our event held on September 27 at AGM University Metro Orlando campus " Working together in our community: Promoting Supportive Conversation to Prevent Suicide”, was a great success since students, professors, practice centers, and community members had the opportunity to discuss how to prevent suicide in our community, learn how to respond to those in crisis and raise awareness how suicide may impact anyone in our community.

Recently, Ana G. Mendez University supported the Hispanic Chamber of Commer of Tampa Bay Annual Prestigio Gala. Carlos Ayala, Associate Director of Admissions, was in attendance as Board Member of the prestigious organization.

Hispanic Heritage Festival in Ybor City

State Representative Susana Valdes and Hillsborough County Department of Education Commissioner Karen Perez celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a Community Fair at the Cuba Club in Tampa's Ybor City.
Ana G. Mendez University Tampa Bay Campus Director Dr. Viviana Barrabia was present during the family activity supporting the city's work and dedication to Latino culture.

AGM University participates in iRise event

This weekend, AGM University participated in the iRise event at Osceola Heritage Park. Participants were able to meet with AGM University representatives, where they received free orientations to the academic offerings for our next academic commencement on October 9th. AGM University is an academic institution proud to serve our Hispanic community in Florida.

HAPBWA Mujeres en Transición

Recently, Ana G. Mendez University - Metro Orlando participated in the Hispanic American Professional Business Women Association's (HAPBWA) "Mujeres en Transición" event in Orlando.

Our university has the great pleasure of being the academic institution supporting this non-profit organization whose mission is to help Latina entrepreneurs in Central Florida.

Mi Familia Vota visits Tampa Bay Campus

Recently, Mi Familia Vota, a non-profit organization in the Florida community, offered an important talk on the new immigration laws in the state of Florida for students, faculty, and staff of Ana G. Mendez University - Tampa Bay Campus. Immigration attorney William Gearhart was in charge of the talk on the variables of the application of SB1718. A big thank you from us to Mi Familia Vota for bringing this resource to our institution.

AGM University Participates in the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention

Gracias, United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for an amazing conference in Orlando - USHCC Orlando 23! Ana G. Méndez University was so glad to be part of this empowering event for all Latinos in the nation, see good friends and partners from the Central Florida community, and make new friends. Our three ground campuses – Metro Orlando, Tampa, South Florida – as well as our Main Campus (Online modality) were in attendance.

Ana G. Méndez University opens it's door to SBA's Latino Prosperity Tour

Ana G. Méndez University had the pleasure of opening its doors for an event hosted by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the SBA's Latino Prosperity Tour. The Metro Orlando Campus was the chosen location for a roundtable attended by SBA's Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzmán, Congressmen Darren Soto and Maxwell Frost (FL) and Congresswoman Nanette Barragán (CA). Also invited to the meeting were small business owners from Central Florida.
