Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
La Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) es una agencia de acreditación institucional reconocida por el Secretario de Educación de los Estados Unidos y el Consejo para la Acreditación de la Educación Superior (CHEA, por sus siglas en inglés). MSCHE es una asociación voluntaria, no gubernamental, de membresía que define, mantiene y promueve la excelencia educativa en instituciones con diversas misiones, poblaciones estudiantiles y recursos. MSCHE lleva a cabo actividades de acreditación y pre acreditación (candidatura) para instituciones de educación superior en Delaware, el Distrito de Columbia, Maryland, Nueva Jersey, Nueva York, Pensilvania, Puerto Rico, las Islas Vírgenes de los Estados Unidos y cualquier otra área geográfica en la que la Comisión elija llevar a cabo actividades de acreditación, incluida la evaluación de la educación a distancia y los programas de educación por correspondencia ofrecidos en esas instituciones. MSCHE acredita instituciones en los Estados Unidos y a nivel mundial (MSCHE, 2021).

AGMU Submits Final Self-Study Report to MSCHE
On February 14, 2025, AGMU submitted the final Self-Study report to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). In October 2024, the university community had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Hubert Benítez, Chair of the Evaluation Committee for the reaccreditation process. During his visit, Dr. Benítez engaged with key university stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrative staff. Additionally, he met with our president, Dr. José F. Méndez Méndez, as well as vice presidents, the executive director, and members of the Board of Directors. Since the visit, we have focused on enriching the report with updated information to ensure the most current data is reflected.
As a reminder, the full Evaluation Committee visit is scheduled for March 30 to April 2, 2025. In the coming days, the university community will be invited to participate in orientation meetings to review the Self-Study and address any questions in preparation for the evaluation visit.
