Ana G. Méndez University (AGMU), South Florida Campus, and Miami Dade College (MDC), Medical Campus, signed a collaboration agreement in Miami on September 24, 2025. This agreement will allow MDC graduates to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner and a Doctor of Nursing Practice at AGMU.
The agreement includes its dissemination among students and faculty, as well as the coordination of job fairs, community health activities, and academic conferences for professional development.
An advisory committee was created to facilitate communication and coordinate initiatives between the campuses, with the purpose of encouraging students to continue their academic path and strengthening the preparation of nurses equipped to assume responsibilities in the healthcare sector.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ron Winston, Dean of Health Sciences (MDC); Dr. Andrés Caiaffa, Director of Nursing (MDC); Dr. Alwyn Leiba, President of the MDC Medical Campus; Dr. José F. Méndez Méndez, President of AGMU; Dr. Luis Javier Delgado, Vice President of Operations at AGMU; and Ms. Syndia Nazario, Associate VP of Government Affairs and Institutional Relations.
