Did you know?

The Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787, and became law on March 4, 1789. It has been amended 27 times to adapt to changes and the needs of society.

The first ten amendments to the Constitution were ratified in 1791 and protect fundamental freedoms such as the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.

The Constitution establishes a system of separation of powers among the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches to create a balance and prevent the abuse of power.
