AGM University celebrates Mental Health Awareness Month

Since 1949, May has been known as the Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States and at Ana G. Mendez University we are celebrating it with the creation of murals and activities prepared by our Social Work and Psychology professors, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of taking care of our mental health and emotional well-being.

From motivational phrases with clear and colorful messages to recommendations for managing stress and anxiety, the murals located in common areas of the university become a constant reminder of the great impact that mental health has in our daily lives and invite us to reflect on the importance of taking care of our mental health.

At AGM University, we care about the well-being of our students and surrounding communities, and we know that mental health is a key part of a full and satisfying life. That’s why we wanted to celebrate this month with the creation of these murals and at the same time recognize the effort and commitment of our Social Work and Psychology professors on such an important topic.

The celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month at Ana G. Mendez University gives us the opportunity to help promote the importance of taking concrete actions to take care of our mental health. With initiatives such as the creation of murals among other activities the university reaffirms its commitment to the integral formation of its students and their emotional well-being.
